This should be in the owner's manual. I found the below on autozone.com, their repair help location:
An inertia switch is used as a safety device in the fuel system. The inertia switch is located in the cab, generally under the dashboard on the right side. It is designed to open the fuel pump power circuit in the event of a collision. The switch is reset by pushing each of 2 buttons on the switch simultaneously (some models use switches with only one reset button). The inertia switch should not be reset until the fuel system has been inspected for damage or leaks.
When the ignition switch is ON , it turns the EEC power relay ON . The EEC power relay provides power to the powertrain control module (PCM) and the control side of the fuel pump relay. Power for the fuel pump(s) is supplied through a fuse link or high current fuse attached to the starter solenoid (battery side). From the fuse link or high current fuse, current flows through the fuel pump relay and inertia switch to the fuel pump(s). The fuel pump relay is controlled by the PCM.
When the ignition switch is turned ON , the fuel pump(s) will operate. If the ignition switch is not turned to the START position the PCM will shut the fuel pump(s) OFF after 1 second. The PCM will operate the fuel pump(s) operate the fuel pump(s) when the ignition switch is turn to START position to provide fuel while cranking.
After the engine starts, the PCM will continue to operate the fuel pump(s) unless the engine stops, drops below 120 rpm or the inertia switch is tripped.

97 dodge ram stoped getting fuel want start

Check the fuel filter, and check for electrical power to the fuel pump. The fuel pressure regulator may be bad, but usually those fail by allowing full flow all the time, which leads to flooding on start, and a strong odor of raw fuel in the exhaust at low RPM.

Note: most modern vehicles (after 1982) are fuel-injected and have electric fuel pumps. They don't have carburetors; they have throttle bodies, which are somewhat like the bottom half of a carburetor.

Where is the fuel pump cut off located in a 1992 toyota tercel??

If the vehicle has an inertia fuel pump shut off, details of the location will be in the vehicle handbook.
Some early cars didn't have the inertia switch and the fuel pump relay relied on a connection to the oil pressure warning light or ignition light or similar so if the engine stopped so did the fuel pump.

Most inertia switches are fitted behind the passenger footwell plastic kick panel or visibly in the engine compartment. A few early examples were fitted in the spare wheel well.

Replaced fuel pump, strainer, fuel filter, battery, computer, car will only start when you pour gas down air intake.

Sorry this vehicle does not have a fuel shut off switch or inertia switch > that's ford ! If you pour fuel in the throttle body an it runs It's something with the fuel system , an if you replaced the pump an filter an regulator , It has to be electrical ! did you check voltage at the fuel pump relay ? What engine does yours have , 2.5 , 3.3 L ? There is a in line fuse for the fuel pump near the relay ! There are four relays front right of engine compartment mounted on radiator support cross member . The one for fuel pump is the one on the inside . Fuse is near there an there is a connector not connected to anything ,this is for fuel pump prime . Jump battery voltage to it a see if it runs then ! or replace relay !

1989 F-250 460 FUEL-INJECTION WILL NOT-RUN

the trouble is you need to start with the codes. and doing tests .like spark from the coil.ignition leads .then fuel. tests are then done .as the trouble can be your ECU has failed.or O2 sensor .that is why you start with your codes.

Fuel Injected Engines

If the vehicle is equipped with a pressure relief valve, install an EFI/CFI fuel pressure gauge T80L9974B or equivalent and depressurize the fuel system. If the vehicle is not equipped with a pressure relief valve, the fuel filter connection should be covered with a shop rag or towel to prevent the fuel from spraying during the removal procedure. It is also possible to reduce the amount of pressure in the fuel system by locating the inertia switch (usually located in the luggage compartment) and disconnecting the electrical connection on the inertia switch. Next crank the engine for 15 seconds to reduce the system pressure
