Find what fuse 18 runs and check it for a dead short. If it is a fuel pump fuse check the fuel pump for seized or dead short.

SOURCE: jaguar x-type 2002 fuse diagram

Cigarette lighter fuse is in the fuse box on he driver side of the car under the dash. It is a blue 15 amp fuse, located on the left of the fuse compartment. You will see 4 rows of little fuses. The 2nd row starts a little further to the left than the 1st row does. The fuse you need is that far left one in the 2nd row of fuses.

A fuse blows because the circuit it provide power to has a shorted component or wire.

ECI Fuse keeps blowing

What ever was blowing the fuse intermittently now has a full blow dead short. Trace it through to the unit and check for connections shorting out or the unit itself shorting out.

Jaguar x-type fuel pump blowing F18 fuse

You could have a fuel pump wire that is shorting out or a fuel pump that is drawing too much current, not a easy fix. You need to follow the wiring for the fuel pump if that is good drop the gas tank and replace the pump.

2002 jaguar radio stopped working no display

HI, you have an electric short somewhere or a blown fuse. It's difficult to tell, since I don't know what you've already checked. A wire could have also come loose. If the fuse it good, you may need to check the wiring to the device. Of course, there could be a short circuit or blown board in the radio itself. Without taking it to a certified repair mechanic, the trying and troubleshooting is going to be up to you; but, these are a few things that I would check. Good luck!

How do I diagnose a recurring blown fuse in a gmc acadia 2009 50 v causes car to get stuck in park, no power windows, no lights, no temperature controls, power locks

You buy the GM factory manual and then use the wiring diagrams to track down the systems the fuse supplies power to, and one by one you go through each circuit until you find the short circuit. There is no cut and dry way that works every time to find this type of an automotive electrical problem, I have been doing auto electric for 25 years and seldom does the same repair fix more than one car or truck. You can also rent the manuals for download at this site for about $40 per year, a great deal. www.alldatadiy.com
