Working on a 2005 Buick LaCrosse cxs with the 3.6l. Car won’t start. Won’t turn over or anything. Hooked tech 2 to it and it says fuel security disabled. Have master key. Tried reprogramming but it doesnt...

First make sure the battery is fully charged. Then check for clean battery post connections. Then check all the main fuses located in the plastic box under the hood close to the battery on top of the inner fender. You should have all dash lights if everything check out to this point and it should turn over with the key.

I drilled a hole in the middle of my key on my 2004 Pontiac grand prix. Now my car won't start and is displaying starting disabled due to theft system. What do i do? Cant I disarm the theft system?

It is quite the prosses to dissarm the security system.I have tried before to no avail.I sugest you replace the lock cylender and have the dealer reprogram for the new key. This is your best bet to getting your car back.

My 1999 chevy blazer doesn't even try to start the security (factoryinstalled) blinks constantly. I was told it may be the pass lock system any ideas?

The pass key system isn't working. Make sure your using the same key. There is a piece where a wire brakes in the steering column. Part is cheap but steering wheel needs to be pulled. And dealer needs to reprogram it.

2003 cts stalling

If the antitheft ligh stays on, the vehicle may start and die. Maybe the system needs to be relearned or there maybe an issue with the transmitter in one of the keys. If you tried to start vehicle with wrong key or a copy that doesn't have the transmitter this would cause the antitheft module to disable the vehicle. For reprogramming the system all keys are needed. Good luck.

Let me be a little more specific about the steering column security system, I was stranded for half a day two years ago. The car would start for half a second and die. When I finally got it to the d

1999 GMC Safari is equipped with a PassLock* system. It is designed to disable engine starting unless the ignition lock cylinder rotates correctly when the proper key is installed. The system is similar in concept to the PassKey* system. However, it eliminates the need for a key-mounted resistor pellet.
The components of the PassLock* system are as follows:
> The ignition lock cylinder
> The ignition switch
> The PassLock* sensor
> The PassLock* module
> The security indicator
> The Vehicle Control Module (VCM)

If any of the components (with the exception of the security indicator) is replaced, the PassLock* sytem must be reprogramed before engine start will be enabled.

When the system malfunctions, it is necessary to retrieve fault codes from the VCM to correctly determine which part of the system is causing the problem.

Starting: car will not start; dash reads "starting

Hello, RW Betton,

Here is a few things to try then please read toward the bottom. Please read my whole page here of ideas for you.

Question? when it does disable it usually will say " starting disabled due to theft system remove key from ignition and wait 3 minutes'. Are you able to start car after the 3 minutes? or it wont period? My car does this a lot to but I think its cause you have to unlock the car, get in it, shut the doors and then start the car because mine does it when i open the doors.

Also some times if you have a chip in your key will do this as they ware out, and would have to try you back up key (if you have one) and if turns out to be your key, that has bad chip, dealer would have to replace that.

Finally, this is your other choice as well below, and you can click on that site and it should help you. Most the times this whole issue is triggered from the key itself into the ignition, that cause this.

If you have the GM pass lock system in that car, this is a site that will show you how to disable it:
http://www.kingbain.com/how-to/how-to-p
ermanently-disable-gm-passlock-system.h
tml

However, if it were my car I would see what the dealer will charge to fix it first. It may just be a simple reprogramming is needed or a inched wire in the steering column. I would want the car to have an anti theft system working as it should.

I hope my free advice has helped you, and if you could please rate my help accordingly and some kind words too. I appreciate it, and keep me informed on progress. Here is also my direct link for all my services I offer to help you.
