Our fuel gage reads that there is over 1/4 of a tank of gas. And runs out. Also will only start back up if the van is facing up hill once you put a gallon back in it. It read I had 3/8 of a tank and I was able to put 20 gallons of gas in it.
SOURCE: does my 2002 gave a fuel shut of switch and if so where is it
Try pulling the engine coolant temp sensor, They often crack not sure why but the ceramic tip cracks makes the car hard to start, the car's idle may race while shifting gears, and often smokes. The sensor is on the right side of the engine when looking at it on the head... In your case if the sensor is cracked it can be shorting out they electrical system.. its an idea there isn't a fuel shut off I've had this problem and seen if before so goodluck
SOURCE: car wont start, put 8 gallons of gas,new fuel
No, but if you put fuel and the gauge shows empty, then you have a loose connector near the gas tank. If car doesnt start, then it is for sure that the connector of the fuel pump is loose. Reconnect the fuel pump and you are gonna be fine.
SOURCE: I have a 92 Saturn SL-1 and it runs fairly
Try changing fluid and filter. If this does not correct it, then test the vacuum pressure in the vacuum controlled actuator and the circuit on the tranny. If it turns out ok, then tranny servo or other internal part may be faulty
SOURCE: low fuel light stays on. gas gauge is inaccurate
It could be a couple things, fuel pump or your fuel float inside the tank is going. Best best depending on what you want to spend. Call a junkyard for a replacement or a scrap yard/ salvage parts.
You may want to also put a large carboard box under the car (laying flat) to see if the gas tank is leaking too.
Testimonial: "thanks i'll have that checked in the morning"
SOURCE: 200 saturn sl. tank has 8 gallons fresh fuel. low
See if your leaking any gas by placing a box underneath the car, second your fuel float may be going inside the tank and or it could be a fuel pump or sending unit issue.
Call a junk yard or salvage place if you find you need parts..
