Cold weather starting problem

I would say it's bad contacts in the ignition switch. Metals change dimensions depending on temperature, looks like 45 degrees is the trick point for whatever is in there. My 04 Silverado 5.3 with 196,000 has the ticking, but it is gone within 10-15 seconds.

I have a humming noise in my 2003 ss Chevy Silverado. It's loud in the cab but you can't hear it outside. The hum sounds like underneath somewhere. I heard it might be a belt or the tires. thank...

If it were the belt you would hear it clearly with the hood open! So if you don't it probably isn't the belt - but you should still check the condition of the belt - any cracks?
The tires would be loudest if the windows were down and driving - if that isn't the case - probably not that either.

Humming noise could be many things and you need to localize the problem. If it sounds like an electronic hum you might want to check the fuel pump since you almost sit on the tanks.

Try turning everything off - radio, ac, etc off and see if you can at least localize the sound to a particular area.

When im driving my truck i can here a clicking noise coming from the outside of driver's side. It would come off and on, or sometime when i reverse and sometimes depend on how fast the truck is moving....

Sounds like you have a bad CV joint. Roll down your windows and drive the vehicle slowly while turning to the left and right. If you hear clicking coming from your drivers side then your CV joint bearings are worn. Replace the CV arm.

1999 chevrolet silverado 1500 4.3L long box

it is almost impossible to solve without hearing it in person, but some things to check are the front brakes, front wheel bearings, tires, and loose suspension parts.

Ticking sound

Gm will tell you this is normal lifter noise if it from the top of the motor. It could be from the exhaust but you would hear it from under the car more. I do not care for the responce from GM but they say it is ok.

2004 jetta ticking coming from passenger side

difficult one this without haveing a drive in car to hear the noise, this sort of sound could be caused by the flex plate on the crank/torque converter, break on edge of fan belt, power steering pump, altenator bearing, evan the transmission possibly a pump,or could it sound more a sort of electro mechanical noise ?? without hearing it its very difficult to diagnose .
