I have a 2000 Hyundai Sonata that is jerking and causing the check engine light to come on.The car runs sluggish and has a delayed take off while the light is on. We were told that replacing the crank postion sensor would fix the problem, but it did not. It is now giving the following codes: (P1529) Idle Speed Control Auxiliary Input and (P0715) Turbine Speed Sensor A Circut Malfunction. None of the auto stores have any suggestions or parts. Please help!
The turbine shaft speed sensor can cause this problem, It is also know as the transmission input shaft speed sensor. It will cause the transmission to **** and also stick in 3rd gear, which wound cause slow acceleration.
I am having a very similar problem with my '01 Sonata. I had it in to the dealer and they said the same thing. It seems to be the input speed sensor. Good to hear someone else diagnose it the same way, I just had my timing belt and serpentine belt changed, this problem never occured before replacing them. So I was worried that there was a problem with the installation. Thanks.
