Was driving to work when the car just died. Tried starting will turn over but wont fire. The vehicle just turns over it won't run. Doesn't sound like timing belt because you can hear the compression. Please help don't knowwhat could be wrong. Tried the fuel pump and when you turn key to on it spools up for about 2 seconds like normal. There have been absolutely no problems with the vehicle before this.

Sounds like a short maybe. maybe the wire completely broke? if you know a technician, see if the fuel pump is even getting power when key is on
