Could be the speedo head the transducer is in the gear box or if it has a cable remove cable and grease.

Intake manifold normally has firing order cast in, or get a shop manual. The hard part can be finding which should be #1, especially if you have had the distributor removed. Use compression gauge to find TDC compression stroke on #1 and see where rotor is pointing.

I do not believe there is a speedometer cable in a 1992 Olds. I think that you have a speed sensor that transmits to the speedometer via two wires. The speed sensor is mounted near the drive shaft where two magnets transmit rotation speed to the sensor. The cam sensor is just under the water pump. The magnet is on the cam gear, To replace it the timing cover has to come off along with the cam gear.

Try turning the key to the on postion-not crank, just to he postion right before cranking. leave it in that postion for 15 min, Do this three and after the third time go ahead an try to start it. Hopefully this will reset your security for you.
