SOURCE: Tire sensor fault on our 2006 Ford Explorer after new tires

2006 Ford Truck Explorer
NOTE: The tire pressure sensor training prcedure must be done in an area without radio frequency (RF) noise. RF noise is generated by electrical motor and appliance operation, cell phones, and remote transmitters.

1. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position
2. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position three times, ending in the RUN position. Do not wait more than two minutes between each key cycle.
3. Press and release the brake pedal
4. Turn the ignition switch to the OFF position.

Sequence:
1- Left Front Tire
2- Right Front Tire
3- Right Rear Tire
4- Left Rear Tire

5. Turn the ignition switch from the OFF position to the RUN position three times, ending in the RUN position. Do not wait for more than two minutes between each key cycle.
6. The horn will sound once and the TPMS indicator will flash if train mode has been entered successfully. If equipped, the message center displays "TRAIN LEFT FRONT TIRE." Place the magnet on the valve stem of the LF tire pressure sensor. The horn will sound briefly to indicate that the tire pressure sensor has been recognized by the TPMS module.
7.Within two minutes after the horn sounds, place the magnet on the valve stem of the RF tire pressure sensor. NOTE: If the TPMS module does not recognize any one of the four tire pressure sensors during the tire training procedure, the horn will sound twice and the message center (if equipped) will display "TIRE TRAINING MODE INCOMPLETE." If this occurs, the entire procedure must be repeated from Step 1.
8. Repeat Step 7 for the RR and LR tires. When the tire training procedure is complete, the horn will sound once and the message center (if equipped) will display TIRE TRAINING MODE COMPLETE.

This should help. For now, probably all Fords are like this. And I do not believe that Ford puts sensors in their spares (some GMs do).
Good luck

SOURCE: Tire Monitor & Sensor Fault

Have your tires filled with nitrogen about 10.00 per tire. nitrogen is a dryer, more stable gas that's less prone to changes in pressure due to heat or cold. Nitrogen has long been used in aircraft tires and in the tires of race cars Putting nitrogen in your tires will increase your fuel efficiency because properly inflated tires will reduce rolling resistance, which can mean as much as a 3 percent better mileage than a car with under-inflated tires. Nitrogen will not degrade the interior rubber of the tire or corrode the wheels, since it contains no oxygen or water vapor -- both present in the atmosphere we breathe and pump into our tires. When it comes down to a dollar decision, it's hard to argue that spending as much as $40 for nitrogen in a set of tires is a good fiscal move. Also it will cure a intermitten low pressure light.

2009 f150 TPMS fault

When the sensors were replaced and they did a reset. They should have told you the problem. They should have told you up front, instead of charging you for sensors. The BCM isn't reading the signal from the sensors. Find another place to go. I hate point and fix mechanics. Sensor fault? replace all the sensors... It didn't say one tire, it says sensor fault. Have the codes read. They should have done this. To get rid of the message on the DIC, you have to unplug it. But this gets rid of all messages you would get. Pull the IP and take it apart to unplug.

Tire pressure monitor fault

Tire pressure sensors are just that, sensitive. If all your tire have the proper pressure and you still are seeing the sensor light and it comes back on after resetting it then the computer sensor monitor is at fault. Unless you can reset your cars' computer you will probably be stuck with going to the dealer for service. Call various other reputable service centers that have certified mechanics before turning out the big green at a FORD dealership though.

Look in your manual and see how to reprogram the tire pressure sensors. At least I would start with that.

tyre pressure sensor is another gimmick and i would just ignore it and put a bit of black tape over the light .only the dealer can sort this out for you because as its a 2009 then its all encrypterd software on a europeon market vehicle

Where is the low tire reset button located on 2005 ford freestar?

It is on the same button as the Trip Odometer. Cycle through until you see Tire Reset and hold the button down.
