Changed spark plugs now no spark 2003 envoy

Coil packs was the problem in the first place. When a spark plug misfires, the high voltage goes no where and the coil starts to deteriorate. After prolonged misfire the coil will not make the hi voltage necessary to fire the plug. Replace the coil packs.

The spark plugs are located on the top of the engine, you have to remove the airbox to access the coil pack (1) and then the plugs (5) (see picture)

sometimes the idle is low or the engine still cold or possible low charging system.clean your spark plug make sure 30 thousand miles...or every 25 to 30 thou to change.

HOW TO REPLACE 2003 YUKON GMC SPARK PLUGS

Remove the wire from the top of the spark plug by twisting and pulling on the boot part. Then you will need a 14 milimeter plug scocket wrench, turn the wrench counter-clockwise to remove. You install them by doing the steps in reverse. A note of caution: the tightening force is 15 foot pounds of torque whitch isn't a lot of force.
The original spark pulgs are good for at least 100,000 miles unless it's had a problem to cause them to fail. Also installing a different type plug then original equipment has lead to poor performance at times.

Replacing sparkplugs on a 2003 YukonXL 5.3 Litre

Here's how to remove the spark plugs.

Remove the engine sight shield, if necessary.
Disconnect the spark plug wire from the spark plug. • Twist each spark plug wire 1/2 turn. • Pull only on the boot in order to remove the wire from the plug.
Loosen the spark plug 1 or 2 turns.
Brush or air blast away any dirt from around the spark plug.
Remove the spark plug. If removing all the plug at one time, place each plug in a tray marked with the corresponding cylinder numbers.

Installation Procedure

Inspect the spark plug gap. Adjust the plug as needed. Specification
Spark plug gap: 1.524 mm (0.060 in)
Hand start the spark plug.
Tighten the spark plug. Tighten • For used heads tighten the plug to 15 N·m (11 lb ft). • For new aluminum heads tighten the plug to 20 N·m (15 lb ft). • For new iron heads, tighten the plug to 30 N·m (22 lb ft).

Difficulity removing spark plug caps to replace spark plugs in 2002 GMC Yukon

This is normal for the boots to be stuck on it is a very tight fit to begin with and the heat that is generated around them cause them to stick. Try rotating the boots back and forth twisting action as you pull up.If this doesn't work there is a tool available to remove spark plug boots at most autoparts stores.

either a new clutch or timeing belt. hopefully the trasmission is ok

There is a GM special tool for removing these heat shields, without the tool you will destry the plug boot getting them off.

The "method" for removing the plug wires and heat shield from a 2003 Yukon is a half turn to the right and then again to the left. This will "release" the plug wire and they should then pull free like any other wire. "special tools" are for special tools. Replace these wires in the same manner in which they came off. Attach and then gently press as you turn them half a turn left and then half a turn right.
