1989 Honda Civic hard starting and dies for no reason. Cooling fans not working. Trouble codes are #6 coolant, #10 air intake temp, #16 fuel injector. Can anyone lead me to a solution for these problems?

check your wiring for dirty connections or broken wires, you may have wires that are rubbed through or connectors that are not making full contact. you will need an ohm meter and check wires for continuity. a wiring diagram will be needed.

The ECM keeps showing trouble codes #3,#6,#7. coolant temperature sensor,MAP sensor, and tps. all test ok in range of manual. when I first start car when cold idle fluctuates up and down 1500-3500 rpm....
wow, no year stated. 1972?
first year with codes, 1988/99! (most cars)
help for what?

i could offer real accurate help but no year stated. sigh.

to me , sounds like you lost ground to the sensors
and some years have an ECU 5v output that runs sensors
that can DIE. (with brand new sensors)
sensors need power to work, so we use a voltmeter to test live circuits, this shows me exactly why its failing.

Temp need stays cold

I have a 1989 Honda civic just had a rebuild what i thought was a blown head gasket turned out to be holes burned into 2 valves.since the rebuild it soots up the spark plugs bad it flashes codes 1 then 10...
Code 1 Oxygen Content-
Code 10 Intake Air Temperature (IAT)
Code 14 Idle Air Control (IAC) valve
Sounds like the oxygen sensor (code 1) is recieving more fuel content (or unburned fuel) than it can measure...
The intake air temperature sensor isn't reading within range because...
The Idle air control valve (basically an electronic choke) isn't opening up to allow enough air into the engine to create a clean fuel burn, creating burned valves (probably intake valves) from unburned fuel.

My check engine light turns on after my 1989 honda civic haas been on for 5 minutes or longer and it starts over heating
Hi there. It sounds like your cooling fan and/or electrics associated with it might not be working correctly. Perhaps the reason for the engine light coming on is that your engine temperature is too high as a direct result of the cooling fan not working properly. If after starting the engine you don’t see, or hear the radiator cooling fan working, this is the most likely cause of the engine overheating. You then need to have either a Dealer or Service Center identify why the cooling fan is not working – wiring/connections, fuse, sensor or fan motor. Hope this helps, Scottech.

Is the vehicle wanting to turn over? If not at all, look at the ignition switch, sometimes the contacts wear down and intermittant problems arise, such as not starting or car will die while driving.

Car keeps dying
Trouble Code 33 and 34 are the MAF/MAP Sensor Circuit. It sounds like you've replaced that sensor already. Did you also have the code 34 before putting in the new sensor?
Or did this code start after it's replacement? Any other codes appearing?

Troubleshooting it would depend if it has the Speed Density Update. The dealer should be able to provide that info.

HOW DO I BLEED A COOLING SYSTEM 98 HONDA CIVIC
sounds like your fan is not turning on, check that first. if there is air in your system you have a leak. you cant bleed the cooling system, you have to first recover the freon, preasurize it to see if you have a leak, if no leak vacuum the lines then add freon.
