We bought a new Kia there this past summer. All is well with that!! Our son has a 1994 Buick Lasabre that he has lost the ignition for. It had the little resistor toward the top of the key shaft. did u get a key that was the proper code? these keys have a little piece of resistive wire embedded in the key, does the key u had made have that? if not it will not work, u can't just get a key cut, they have numbers to select the proper resistance value for the key to work with your security system.

You must take it to a dealership and they will unlock it for you. There is a specific dealer code that will unlock any radio and once they do it, you pick one that you will remember. This is part of the anti theft. Hope this helps.
