I changed the transmission oil on my pu truck ford f150. It was easy.
You'll need a transmission filter and transmission oil ask the serviceman how many qts you need.
Remember that you will have to check the dipstick and see that the two holes on it are covered with red trans fluid while the engine is running. Remember while the engine is on then you check to see if you need to add which you certainly will have to keep adding until it is full. Sorry i didnt give you more details.

Does a 2003 x type auto trans need to be flushed or is it a sealed trans

There are no sealed transmissions

All transmissions have a drain & fill
procedure

You can have it flushed, but I would never
allow anyone to disconnect any trans lines,
to do so, you chance dibris from flushing to cause
harm to transmission

If you have not changed trans & power steering fluids
on all your vehicles every 3 years, your almost sure to
have a failure at some point in time

There is lots on checking & filling- on the internet- if you
google the question & I expect You Tube Video will
show you how

How can i tell if the transmission is filled with oil

Transmission fluid, when it is clean, should be a red raspberry type color. If you have oil in yours then it will be darker than that depending on how much, and you may be able to smell it on your dipstick.

I have a 2003 jaguar s type r. what is the best spark plug to use? n what kind of oil should i use when living in california?

Use NGK plugs. And oil should be precicely what the manufactures reccomends, listed on the oil fill cap. When the vehicle starts to use some oil, consider high mileage blend, again at the SAME viscocity, NOT HEAVIER EVER. The high mileage does reduce consumption and with Casteroil you get semi synthetic...

Where do you check and fill transmission levels on a 2000 s type jaguar

there's a plug in the pan with a about a two inch tube inside the pan when the level get's to the top of the tube it runs out. I know dumb idea but if you have to fill it you need to force fluid up through the hole with a syphon gun.

How do I top up the transmission fluid on an S Type Jaguar Registration Year 2000

Hi, to check the fluid, first raise the car and level. On the rear of the trans next to the driveshaft there is a hex plug (5/16" allen head). Remove the plug when the transmission is warm and running in park. Fill the trans with Mercon V until it runs out, then re-install the plug. On my 2002 s type it has the instructions imprinted in the rear of the trans next to the fill port.

Adding transmission fluid to 2001 jaguar s-type

On a 2000 s-type 4.0 There is a combination drain plus check valve on the bottom of the Pan and a fill hole on the back right side. Use WD-40 to help free up the allen-screw in the middle of the drain plug. Hold the drain screw while opening the level checking screw. If it is full, a small amount may run out. If light red fluid runs out it's OK. If brown, You got a problem. It uses special fluid! Take it to have it done in a Jaguar service facility. Or educate yourself on how to do it.

WHERE TO PUT THE TRANSMISSION OIL

you do not have a dip stick.

960e9f1.gif
Item Part Number Description 1 — Fluid fill plug (bench) 2 — Fluid level 3 — Fluid drain plug (large) 4 — Fluid level and fill plug (small) 5 — Fluid level tube

  1. NOTE: It will be necessary to hold the drain plug (larger plug) with a wrench when removing the fluid level indicator plug.
With the transmission in the PARK position and the engine running, use a 3/16 inch Allen key to remove the fluid level indicator plug.
  2. Allow the fluid to drain. Wait approximately one minute. When the fluid comes out as a thin stream or a drip, it is at the correct level.
  3. If no fluid comes out of the hole, fluid will need to be added. Continue with this procedure.
  4. Install the special tool into the pan.
