What causes misfiring
Misfiring can be from --low fuel pressure--faulty injectors--air/vacuum leaks---mechanical problems with the engine--plugs--- HT leads --moisture in the distributor cap--- cracks in the cap---coil/s---over heating---loose wiring ---HT leads touching each other ==just to name a few.

Depending on the year of the car.....Usually the diagnostic plug is
fitted in the centre consol.. A small plastic strip must be
removed.....in front of the gear shift...below the radio.

SOURCE: VW Bora: Can't open bonnet
first of all not an easy job,you need to get the front grill off and look upwards for a cover that will be covering up the bonnet catch,basicly bend or pull this off,you should then see were the cable goes in,then you should be able to bar the catch with a screwdriver to release it. best of luck

The following is the wiring for your towbar
Check the inside of the socket and you will find each of the 7 pins are numbered 1 - 7.
No 1 Yellow Wire. Left side Flasher
No 2 Blue Wire. Fog Light.
No 3 White Wire.. Earth.
No 4 Green Wire. Right side Flasher
No 5 Brown Wire. Left side Park Light.
No 6 Red Wire. Brake Lights.
No 7 Centre Pin. Black Wire. Right Side Parh Light.

esp switch is located to the right of the steering column marked esp and an orange light on the dash, ESP OFF,it is not fitted in all markets due to litigation from drivers who dont know how to use it.....just telling people what it does,does not teach them how to use it and when.....
