Car Door Speakers wont work after installing new Stereo

I just bought a new Sony Xplod headunit stereo and
i have a 1998 Ford Explorer.
The new stereo works with all the (outside)speakers i hook it up with
but when I try my stock speakers no sound!! and I used the EQ to see
if it there was sound from at least one side and nothing!.
Then I put my stock radio back and the speakers work fine, I had
a friend tell me that theres is a wire that needs to be plugged in into
a blue wire from my new stereo but i dont know which it is.
PLease help me and thank you!! I was told this.....

U have a Factory audio auxiliary amp in the truck, the radio is just a head unit with a preamp feeding a main amp, that is behind the right rear 1/4 panel trim panel in the cargo area, if your new sound unit has preamp outputs use them, other wise u must wire around the Ford factory amplifier" I found the factory audio aux and yes my new stereo does have preamp outputs....but How do I fix the sound problem? I want my door speakers to work plz and thank you

Sony xplod stereo wiring diagram

Yes you need to turn on the BOSE amplifier in the car to hear the sound. The wiring diagram is actually on top of the factory radio
You will need a 12v trigger to turn the amp on. this is assuming you have all the speaker (inputs) connected to the output from your new deck.

My 2004 Grand Am GT Stereo Issue

I had the same problem when I changed out the factory cd player. I finally found the problem was that grand am gt cars have a couple of amplifiers with crossovers in them for the speakers and the after market stereos put out sound that has been slightly amplified already and when you hook up your new stereo to the wiring harness your sending amplified sound from your stereo the the factory amp then to the speakers this sometimes messes with he sound and clarity of the sound. My car is 2002 and the factory amps are located 1 under the glove box and 2 in the trunk behind the carpet on the drivers side. The amp and crossover in the front is to split the signal for the door speaker and the tweeter by the mirror and the amp in the trunk is to split the signal for the two way speaker in the back by the back window witch if they are like my factory speakers have 2 wiring harnesses connected to each speaker. the only way I could get mine to sound good was to run new wires from your stereo directly to the speakers and bypass the factory amps. This may not be the only way to fix this issue but it was the only way I could figure it out. I hope this helps

Not saying whether to buy from them or not, but their site/catalog will tell you exactly what fits your vehicle both for the headunit and speakers.
