Pull out the cover over the gear switch selector. Then pull out the vent controller and make sure that the wiring connector is connected tightly to the back of the switch.

SOURCE: The air cond blows out of the floor instead of the vents

i dont know if you have checked the vacuum lines underneath the dash but my truck was doing it after i replaced the heater core and i come to find out that it was the vacuum line that comes through the fire wall that was disconnected. after i hooked it back up it started working right again.

SOURCE: no air from vents

you have a vacume leal to the heating a/c system it has gone to defalt by blowing the defroster check the vacume lines coming of the passenger sid of the intake manifold ther will be a few hoses the one you are looking for is the one going into the firewall and will have a one way vacune ckeck valve in it if it in in backwards it will not alow any vacume to go to the system and it will not operate. ck to make sure that you have vac from the manifold to the line into the fire wall and if you do then the problem in under the dash and can be alittle more troble than you want to undertake.ch under the hood first as the lines tend to crack with heat and age.

SOURCE: Air flow out of A/C (HVAC) seems to be partially

One of the Actuators for the doors inside your dash that controls and diverts air might not be working correctly. You may have to either replace the Actuator or Replace the A/C Heater Control. Your vehicle does not come with a Cabin Air Filter.

Hot air through floor in 99 Suburban when blower is switched off

I the short answer is yes. The truck has a flow-thru vent feature as does most GM products. When the fan switch is off the outside air would flow into the truck.
I thought you could still direct the air by way of the control panel, but by the wiring diagram it looks like everything is disabled when the fan switch is in the off position.

2000 Ford Taurus SEL ac/heat blows through floor and defrost vents only

There is no vacuum to the controls. Look for a vacuum hose that is no longer connected to the engine intake manifold and repair it.

I have a 97 chevy k2500 the fan works, heat and ac works, the floor vents and dash vents work but cant get any air to blow out of the defrost vents. help i have replaced the control panel, still have...

Your vehicle uses electronically controlled blend doors to direct th air flow from defrost to vent and to the floor . If the door motor is bad then it will stay at a fixed position so you will not get the air to flow out the defrost ducts. There are at least two of these one for air blend and one for fresh air. They are located on the passenger side usually under the plastic cover and have a wire harness that plug in and are usually shaped like a piece of pie.

No air flow from ip vents.

There is either a problem with vacuum to a actuator for the blend doors or a vacuum problem to the a/c programmer. It is also possible that the a/c programmer "control head" is bad.

What is a blender/ it is suposed to a part of the heater area

The "blender" would refer to the blend actuators that change the flow of air from floor to vent to defrost or combinations. Properly working blend doors will allow you to direct air to the dash vents, the floor, the defroster, the floor and defroster or the floor and dash vents. If it is not working the heater will still work but you will hae no control oer where the air flows.

Floor vents not working in my Avalon.

When you turn the dial to the floor vents, do you hear anything. You should hear a flap or something move after the dials been turned. There's a flap (direction control) just above the blower behind the passenger side dash. This directs the air to where it's supposed to go. It sounds like yours may have come loose
