THANK YOU.Remove pipe from top of steering gear.
Remove intermediate steering shaft set bolt.
Separate intermediate steering shaft from steering gear shaft.
Remove steering gear mounting bolts, nuts and washers.
CAUTION
Be careful to not spill power steering fluid on vehicle.Lift steering gear from vehicle and cap/plug fluid lines.
To Install: Position steering gear in place and install a few bolts to hold it in place.
Raise and safely support vehicle.
Install and tighten all steering gear mounting bolts.
Install pitman arm to center link and install cotter pin. Tighten nut to 36 ft lb (49 Nm).
Attach intermediate steering shaft to steering gear shaft and install set bolt. Tighten to 25 ft lb (34 Nm).
Attach damping pipe to pressure hose. Tighten to 29 ft lb (39 Nm).
Connect suction hose to pipe assembly.
Lower vehicle.
Install pipe assembly to top of steering gear. Tighten to 29 ft lb (39 Nm).
Connect damping pipe to top of steering gear.
Connect return hose to pipe assembly.
Install power steering reserve tank.
Install coolant recovery tank.
Install vehicle undercover.
Refill/bleed power steering system.
