SOURCE: vw wiring schematics

Hi Chrishuhagen-
Here is the diagram you requested. If you need other assistance or have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask! I'm an old VW mechanic, and I had (among others) a '71 Type 1 pop-top camper that I acquired with a blown engine. Built a stroker motor for it tuned for torque, and my friends redubbed it the "Ferrari Housecar!" It would cruise at 90 mph all day long, with plenty of pedal left! (And still get 30 mpg!)
Great cars!

This has been resampled to a smaller size so it would meet the file size limitations of the FixYa blog, but if you send me an e-mail at [email protected] I will reply with the full size diagram as an attachment.

Please don't forget to rate my assistance----your rating is my only compensation for providing you this help!

Good luck with the electrical problems, and thank you!

SOURCE: starting problems golf mk4 1.6 petrol

There is a part between the air intake manifold and the air box on your engine, it's usually black on a golf, will look like a 15cm tube around 80-90mm in diameter with a plugged wire leading into it, this is your MAF sensor or MASS AIR FLOW sensor and if dirty / faulty can cause an incorrect temp reading from the air intake and cause rough engine starting, this is a very common problem on mk4 golfs... the part is apparently cleanable, with isoprop alcohol, or I assume white spirit. the actual sensor needs to be removed from its housing for cleaning, and as always treat carefully... the part replacement, depending on where you go can be around $50 - $100 used or even new.... part number off the existing one on your car, try ebay as you can do well for price :) could be fouled spark plugs from rich fuel mix on bad airtemp sensor, could be a million things but the MAF sensor is one of the golden oldies I'd be checking first :) Goodluck, Chas

SOURCE: serious electrical problems wiv vw golf mk4 gti turbo yr 2000

I had a VW rabbit that developed mad electrical problems. It started when one day the headlights remained on and would not shut off. It turned out that a $2.00 gasket for the antenna wire had failed. This allowed road water from the wheel well to leak onto the fuse box. In time the fuse panel corroded and shorted out. I had to replace the fuse box twice and use rubber epoxy to seal the leak.
Check all fuses and electrical wiring for signs of shorts or corrosion.

I have a 2004 GMC envoy. I cannot control seat control number two. I can only control driver seat number one. Did I blew a fuse? Or does it has a fuse?

You mean memory seat position 1 & 2 ?

Memory Seat System Components
The memory seat system consists of the following components:
• Power Seat Switch
• Seat Horizontal Motor
• Seat Front Vertical Motor
• Seat Rear Vertical Motor
• Seat Recliner Motor
• Driver Seat Module
• Memory Seat Switch

Memory Seat System Description
Battery voltage is supplied to the driver seat module through the power seat circuit breaker. The driver seat module supplies the seat adjuster switch assembly with a battery positive reference voltage. While the seat adjuster switches are in an inactive state the switch contacts are closed to the adjuster switch ground circuit. When a seat adjuster switch is pressed to an active state the switch contact is closed to the reference voltage circuit. Battery voltage on a switch signal circuit indicates to the driver seat module the switch status is active. Each seat adjuster motor is controlled by the driver seat module through 2 motor control circuits. While the seat adjuster motors are in an inactive state the motor control circuits are closed to ground circuit contacts within the driver seat module. The driver seat module operates the seat adjuster motors by switching one of a motor's control circuits to battery voltage. The seat adjuster motors are bidirectional and the direction of adjuster motor rotation is determined by which of the adjuster motor control circuits is switched to battery voltage while the other remains grounded.

Memory Set/Recall Operation
The driver seat adjuster motors are equipped with potentiometer type position sensors used by the driver seat module to determine the seat position. The position sensors are supplied with 5-volt reference and ground circuits from the driver seat module. The position sensor signal circuits are referenced from ground within the driver seat module. The signal circuit voltage levels monitored by the driver seat module range from 0.39 - 4.58 volts and are determined by the wiper locations on the resistors within the motor position sensors. The position sensor circuit voltage levels are used by the driver seat module to determine the seat position when storing or recalling memory position settings.
The memory recall switch assembly on the driver's door provides inputs to the driver door module. Battery voltage is supplied to the memory recall switch assembly from the driver door module. When a memory recall 1, 2, or EXIT switch is pressed, the switch contacts close the appropriate switch signal circuit to the battery voltage supply circuit within the memory recall switch assembly. When the driver door module receives active switch signals from the memory recall switch assembly, the appropriate commands are sent to the driver seat module using the Class 2 Serial Data circuit.
Memory seat recall operation is allowed only with the transmission selector lever in the PARK position while the ignition is on. The transmission selector lever position data is provided to the driver seat module by a message through the Class 2 Serial Data circuit.

How do i get a wiring diagram for drivers side electric window?

Wiring diagrams usually are not spit up in that manner. Inlays are used in important sectios and the schematic may bridge the page,Schematics are folded preferentialy to maintain continuity of the drawn circuits. No front, go rear? Circuits can be split to segregate front and rear. If the fuse is good then the switch at the drivers door msy be at faulty due to burned contacts, bad connector ir dislocated wire.Highest probability is the fuse which should be checked first. Then the switch (master on drivers door). Voltage in and voltage out when switch is operated. Now, keep in mind rhat the problem is more often the ground to the circuit. Each window motor has its own grtound and hot wire. The motors of each are grounded to yhe door its in. So Two points to verify. Power and ground. Check under the drivers seat, There maybe be a juncture if wirie harnesses. If so, check all connections and ground. CHECK under the hood/engine compartment.for additional connectors used to connect the chasis wire harnesst o the body harnss I hope this helped, if not, I apologize for wasted time reading. Good Luck.- .Ps.

Lincoln Town Car The pasenger side windows(front and rear) just stoped working. i checked the fuses and everything seems to be alright. everything else is working properly all electric system exept...

The wires run under the front seats. They start at the drivers side and travel under the plastic panel at the door jam, then cross over to the other side. then they go forward and back to the doors and other electrical devices in the car. these wires can break anywhere. but usually at the door jams. Corners mostly. You will need an electrical schematic and ohm/volt meter to trace the wires. Also a piece of wire about 5 feet long and lots of time. This not a fuse or relay problem as all the doors work off one circuit breaker. If it went bad then none of the doors would work. Let me know, I can help. also there is the slight possibility that both motors went out at the same time. Randy
