Before buying another unit I would take it out and take it apart. You might have something stuck in there. Also, try disconnecting the battery. Wait 10 minutes and connect it back. Sometimes it will reset itself if you're lucky. I would try that before anything else.

Replace! The repair cost is probably more than replacing it with a decent JVC, Pioneer or Clarion unit - and you can get a DVD player as well to keep the kids occupied ;-)

CD PLAYER JUST SUDDENLY STOPPED WORKING, CAN'T GET CD'S OUT

Sounds like the motor inside player is shot. You will have to pull out player, remove top cover, remove 2 screws holding cradele and remove your cd. Than either install new player or have a new motor put in yours.

2005 chevy trailblazer cd player won't eject cd

I have a 06 Z71 and it did the same thing so more than likely your just going to have to buy a new cd player. I would recommend going with an aftermarket cd player because you probably going to spend just as much on another stock unit.

2004 Chevy Trailblazer radio and CD player works, but no sound

if you have installed a new cd player in there then the propblem could be that your speaker wires and either touching each other or grounding them selfs out.. pull of the cd player and check to make sure all the speaker wires are covered properly and no bare wires are exposed.. if you still have a factory cd player in it then you will probably need to take it to a dealership to have it checked out..
