SOURCE: Remote works but doors don't lock/unlock

Check the remote battery or replace. Check all fuses. If you need to reprogram, try this.

key not in ignition.
driver door open-others closed
driver door unlocked

1-insert and remove key from ignition two times

2-close and open driver door two times

3-insert and remove key once from ign.

4-close and open drvr door twice

5-insert key into ign.,then close driver door

6-turn key to on (not start) then off, twice
this is rewrite mode, have all remotes to reprogram
it will clear any lost remotes.

7-remove key from ignition, the door locks should cycle twice.if not start over.it may take a few tries.

8-press lock/unlock together and hold for a second

9-release,and press lock on remote, the door locks will cycle confirming program.continue to do other remotes you have, steps 8 and 9.if only one in possesion, you are done.

to end mode open door or insert key into ig.you can do up to 4 remotes.read this a couple of times to get the sequence down.there are time restraints, but if you go in order it will work.do not wait more than a second b/t each step and you will be ok.i know from experience that you can do this as fast as you can and it will enter mode.if steps out of order or you wait to long it wont.print this and have in lap, read ahead of what you are doing.good luck

SOURCE: 97 Toyota Camry aut. door lock and dash clock not working properl

i HAD the same problem.... first check the fuse under the hood labeled 'dome' should be a 7.5A it is blown for sure... also if you are good with wiring and at working on cars look at the drivers side doo wiring (between the inside door jam and the drivers side floor... its the wiring that goes through the door to the cabin.... anyway you have to take off the door panel and remove a small cover on the floor of the drivers side.... now remove the two connectors that go to the wiring harness.... you should now be able to loosen the grommet and pull the wiring harness through the door via the speaker hole (you should have removed the speaker already) you now must inspect the wiring which is most likely frayed and/or broken now fix the wiring with some new wiring and crimp connectors and heat shrink your work.... should be good as new... have fun getting the wiring back through the door... it will be bigger due to the crimp on connectors etc..... i did a quick write up of this so i hope it is understandable

2002 Expedition driver door won't lock/unlock with remote

This sounds like you may have a bad lock actuator, there is an actuator that controls the lock, it may need replacing, you will need to remove the door panel to gain access to it, then with a testlight you will test to make sure the actuator is getting power and a ground and if it tests good for power and ground then replace it and door lock will start working again, this part is about 30.00 dollars. here is a picture of it. good day3_10_2013_6_17_11_pm.jpg

Power door lock switch?

Sounds like the drivers door lock switch is bad an as far as the auto start remote the contacts under the button get dirty and won't make contact, open the remote like changing the battery and you can probably get at the contact button, if it's a little carbon button they can be cleaned with a pencil eraser and then paper tower with a bit of rubbing alcohol, if it's an actual switch you can try spraying some contact cleaner into the switch. let it dry before you put the battery back in.

Remote key won't control back doors

Locate the rear door actuator motor and check for power at its wiring when you operate the remote. If power is there, but no action, then replace motor/actuator.
If no power is present, then check the wiring and the relay within the central locking circuit box.

Locks won't work and Windows won't go down brought

Check for a broken wire in the door jam. Other wise I think, You need to research this more, that the Left Front Power Window Switch is actually a door module. I would guess it has either lost power or gone bad.

2005 Freestar "door open signal"

Chances are the autolock doesn't work because it "sees" a door open. Check the plunger between the door and the frame of each door to see if the plunger is broken, bent, or otherwise not working.
