How do I remove/and put back the driver and passenger headrests on a 2008 Buick LaCrosse

The fuel pump in your 2008 Buick LaCrosse is located inside the fuel tank. Here's how you can access it:

Under the Rear Seat:

If your LaCrosse has a rear seat, you can easily access the fuel pump by removing the rear seat cushion. Look for a cover or panel under the seat. The fuel pump is usually located there.

GM headrests are essentially the same. Lower the seat as low as possible to allow enough headroom to remove the headrest. Next raise the headrest, push in the exposed button on one side of the 2 headrest pins that go into the seat. Notice on the other pin is a button that is flush to the plastic hole cover. You have to remove the seat from the car, turn it over, and cut/remove all hog-rings holding the cover to the seat and pull the cover and cushion off. Set the new cushion in the cover, place it back on the seat frame, and hog-ring it back in place at the same points the original hog-rings were. Put the seat back in the car.

Jack it up, put jack stands under the body, not the frame. remove the passenger tire and inner fender cover. remove the 2 frame bolts on the passenger side and lower it as far as it will go. remove the drive belt. remove the balancer blot and pull the balancer. remove the crank sensor and replace. If you don't have an impact gun, you will need to remove the starter also. This is to hold the flywheel from spinning, to remove the balancer bolt.

IF YOU PUSH THE BUTTON AT THE BASE WHERE THE SHAFT GOES INTO NTHE SEAT AND PULL UP IT SHOULD COME OUT

Below the oval plastic cover, push down the fabric and cushion, you should find a circlip/exterior cotter pin that will slide to the driver/passenger side. You need to remove this from both posts and headrest will slide up and out of seat. Be patient, they can be hard to see and or remove. A flat screwdriver or needle nose pliers may be useful. You need a special tool that slips down inside the seat back and release the spring clip retainer. Contact Snap-On tools, about $30.00

There is a Pin hole on one side of the headrest in the plastic base. You have someone put a small Allen wrench in the hole till it presses against the metal spring and also on the release on the other side, then pull the headrest out. You will have to press on the spring to put the head rest back in also.

Directly behind the head lamp assembly there are 2 tabs.These hold the head lamp assembly in place in back.Pull up on both of these and the complete assembly should pull out.Then remove the covers and replace the bulb that needs replacing.Check and make sure it works before you put it back together.Good luck.
