SOURCE: Golf mk4 ignition wiring

941-50 or -500 (not sure if it is 50 of 500)
927-00
971-81
971-80.

You'll need to get the following wiring loom schemmatics (for the AUM 1.8Litre 150bhp, Turbo, 5spd Manual Engine) to figure out the correct sequence of events.

Make sure that you give your chassis number to the dealer first of all to ensure you have the correct diagrams as those supplied by me may not be chassis specific for your car.

Golf mk4 sdi brake light problem??

What colour is this light.
The Golf mk4 sdi certainly should have brake pad wear sensors front and rear and the light on dash for this is orange with a similar symbol to what you describe.
The ABS light is orange with ABS printed on it

Fan or heater switches bulb gone

Apparently, this problem you are experiencing is quite common in VW MK4 Golfs, it's not the bulb but the lighting connection behind your switch. If you bang the right hand side sides your gan controls your fan lights should appear again. Sounds crazy but it's true. I know few people with VW Golf who have this problem.
