the switch on the dome light is three position-lights on with door open, lights off, and lights on-lights on position will not shut off when door closes-cheers Denny
your car has door switches in the door with a specific resistance. if you cannot shut off the lights with the dimmer switch your rheostat in the light switch is a culprit. some luxury models dont allow you to shut off the dome from the light switch. i would check the internal door switches first. hard to find. just follow two wires inside the door next to the door mechanism. The switches get dirty and show a resistance to shut off the interior light.
The door switch is gone bad or got dirty. In some cases cleaning helps, other wise it needs replacement.
first try cleaning:--The door ajar and dome light
switch is made in the door latch, get a wd-40 spray bottle. Open your door and
spray into the door latch liberally and close and open the door about 6-7 times
do this three or four times both doors if that doesn't work have it replaced either
switch or switch and latch assembly

you need a new door jam switch for it ,its the one that shuts the light off when the door is always shut on it,they go bad like this.----------This will help. thanks.Helpmech.
with the door sagging it may not be pushing button in far enough to shut light off or aligning with button right.Replace bushings in door. The fuse is probably the same one for light and door locks.
Hi, This seems that either of the door switches is/are faulty. Try pushing the switches fully on each plunger switch on each door individually, keeping the other doors closed while you do. See if one of them causes the light to go out. If you do find one turns the light off, it's an adjustment problem with the plunger switch. May still need to be replaced if it won't depress enough with the door closing to turn off.Let us know if you were looking for something more else please accept the suggestion. Open one door at a time and press the door button-switch (in the door-frame, hinge side usually) to see if that switch will shut off the light. If you find one that does, either extend the button length slightly with hot glue or epoxy, or replace the switch. Make sure the light has not been turned on at the light or that the switch is bad.
some where along the edge of the door there is a push button switch that is deactivated when the door is shut, turns light of and turns door warning lamp off. either at bottom rear of door or up by the hinges.
