You need to drive it for 50 miles this will reset the computer ,all the best.

The code should be located in your owner manual each car has a specific code if this doesn't work call your dealership and have your bin number ready they will supply it for you good luck hope this helps

I think that if the battery went completely flat the vehicle may have lost the security code, or the same can have happened if you did not follow the boost charge instructions when starting. If that has happened you'll need to have the unit re-encoded by a dealer. Keep in mind that starting a vehicle periodically is good but if you don't run it as well the battery will become exhausted and finally fail. The start up of any engine drains more power from the battery than any other operation. You need to start it and give it a run.

install a battery tender this will mantain the voltage in the battery these work great and will not harm battery or car

You can buy the filter from a dealer and buy the oil anywhere. Be carefull when installing the filter.

you need a new battery but if you dont drive that much bmw offers a maintaner to keep battery charged but not overcharge

DME relay is faulty, its seperate from the ecu and was most likely fried when the ecu went........did anyone try to run an on board diagnostic code pull?

i have seen on more than one occasion the new ALT going bad after about a week or so you may want to check your charging system again and see if you can warr out the alt if it is bad

You must make sure the connection is clean and tight. Chip away any corrosion, which can sometimes be hard and crusty. Make sure the cable is not frayed or a significant amount of individual strands of copper broken at the terminal connector.

Make sure your alternator is working and you are not running your car on the battery. Measure the voltage while the car is running, it should be around 14 volts.
