Stuck door locks

87 Land Cruiser has manual locks on doors. Key won't open them any more even with graphite. My keys work ignition but look worn off. Try for new keys from Toyota or magic lock fluid?

I had lost my main key to my cobalt. I had a new one cut at the dealer and that key doesn't open the passenger door or the trunk. It does work in the driver door and the ignition. Is it the new key or...

Probably the key. The ignition and drivers door get the most use and become more worn. Sometimes this allows keys to work that aren't quite cut exactly like the original. You could try lubricating the other locks with some powdered graphite and that might help. Or if you have more that one key, you could take a small round file and take just a tiny bit of all the small peaks and valleys of the cuts on both side of the key. Do that only if you have another working key so you won't be left without one. Good luck.

Dome light and key in ignition tone won't quit.

Yes, I would lean toward a stuck drivers door latch. Your door open switch is located in the latch itself and the ding is a reminder your key is in the ignition so you don't lock them in the vehicle when you lock the door. even though your door is shut, the truck still thinks it is open. sometimes spraying the latch with some WD-40 will get it freed up and working again, but a new latch might be in your future.

I've own a 95 land cruiser, When i open the driver door or any to get in the vehicle...all the lights within the dash starts to flicker and a control pace. When i stick the key in the ignition and start...

This is a security problem, try using the key to unlock the pass/side door and see if it does this if it doesnt then the switch on the lock on the driver door is bad, the switch is to shut down the alarm.

MY IGNITION KEY HAS DIFFICULT TIME OPENING DOOR ON DRIVERS DOOR WONT OPEN

Normal 0 false false false MicrosoftInternetExplorer4 /* Style Definitions */ table.MsoNormalTable {mso-style-name:"Table Normal"; mso-tstyle-rowband-size:0; mso-tstyle-colband-size:0; mso-style-noshow:yes; mso-style-parent:""; mso-padding-alt:0in 5.4pt 0in 5.4pt; mso-para-margin:0in; mso-para-margin-bottom:.0001pt; mso-pagination:widow-orphan; font-size:10.0pt; font-family:"Times New Roman"; mso-ansi-language:#0400; mso-fareast-language:#0400; mso-bidi-language:#0400;} Add graphite to key several times while inserting back and forth many times. You can purchase small tubes of powered graphite at your local auto parts store. Apply the graphite onto the key as you don't want to make a mess on your car components. This will loosen up the tumblers in the lock.

If that doesn't work then your key lock to door strike component extension rod maybe have come loose or is bent not allowing the striker to turn enough to allow the door to open. That will need to be accessed by removing the door panel. Careful, you can endanger the fasteners that hold the panel on as a special door panel removal tool is often needed to remove those and you could destroy your door panel rendering it useless or made ugly. Most of these simple tools are inexpensive at your auto parts store. Ask them to show you how to operate them or a body shop.

Also oil up the striker in your door, as it might be bone dry of lubrication causing it to stick. Don’t be bashful lay the oil to it. If it runs down wipe it off. It normally won’t hurt if it runs down inside the door either, as the door has drains at the bottom.

'87 Camry door lock doesn't work

Try putting a little graphite lock lube in the lock to see if it is just stuck first. Does your key work on the other locks? Do you have a spare key that you haven't tried? If you need to pull the lock, use a trim removal tool to pull the door panel off, starting at the bottom removing the clips on the outer edge of the panel. Unscrew the fasteners holding the armrest on and be careful of the door handle to avoid bending the linkages. Door locks don't fail too often.

2000 toyota land cruiser door power lock

This is normal if I'm reading this right. The door locks are supposed to pop up when you turn off the key when in "child proof" mode. The reading lamp is wired to prevent low battery conditions by only operating when the engine is running. Did you just get the car?
