Heater is not working on my 99 Jeep grand cherokee. Replaced my blower moter and blend door actuator. I have digital read out of codes 52,54,56 and the vents only blows out cold air so vents doors are opening and closing just fine. Is there a fuse or a very inexpensive way to fix this problem?

Cold air usually means that the radiator or the is not the radiator or the cooling system is low on coolant or there could be a problem with thermostat change the thermostat in front by the engine first it's an expensive see if this helps if not it could be the heater core clogged as well which is something that happens also

Mate, cheapest way to troubleshoot this, is remove the heater core hoses in the firewall, hook up a garden hose, have someone gently turn up the tap, flush the system from one hose connection first, the the other... this will remove any blockage which could be from installing a new rad to sludge in the system..

Also check fuses and relays, then check and/or replace the the blower motor resistor. It is an electrical component that is a part of the vehicle's heating and air conditioning system. It is responsible for controlling the blower motor's fan speed. ... A failed blower motor resistor can cause issues with the operation of the entire heating and air conditioning system... cheers

SOURCE: 1996 jeep grand cherokee heater sometimes blows

well you might have a vaccum leak try looking for a loose hose in the front by the engine look at the hose diagram in your truck and make sure all the hoses are properly connected and in good condition this might solve your issue. good luck let me know how it went.

SOURCE: I have a 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Originally blew

either bad recirc doors or a possible bad heater core. Open the hood and when the car is warmed up to mid point on the temp gauge look on the passenger's side firewall under the hood. You will see 2 black rubber hoses running through the firewall. Feel each hose and if one of the 2 are cold then you have a bad heater core. Otherwise most likely the recirc door.

Heat wont heat up, just replaced thermostat.

There are several possible reasons why you may be experiencing cool or no heat in your 2002 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo after replacing the thermostat and bleeding the air out of the lines. Some possible causes could include:
  1. A malfunctioning blend door or actuator: The blend door controls the mix of hot and cold air that is directed through the heating system. If the blend door or actuator is not functioning properly, it may cause a lack of heat.
  2. A clogged heater core: The heater core is responsible for transferring heat from the engine to the cabin of the vehicle. If the heater core is clogged, it may not be able to transfer heat effectively, resulting in cool or no heat.
  3. A faulty thermostat: If the thermostat was not properly installed or is not functioning correctly, it may cause the heating system to not work properly.
  4. A problem with the water pump: The water pump is responsible for circulating coolant through the engine and heating system. If the water pump is not functioning properly, it may cause a lack of heat.

Heater blower is working but only blows cold air 2001 Grand Cherokee Jeep Limited 3.1d

Either your heater core is plugged up or your line to the core is restricted. Do a complete reverse rad flush with a radiator cleaning solution and try it. If that doesn't work you'll need a new heater core.

Heat is out on 1999 jeep grand cherokee limited

I had this problem on a 99 grand cherokee limited, It was the heater blend doors and if you have dual climate control one side usually goes out before the other. These blend doors are located behind the glove box unaccessible inside the HVAC shell.
(http://www.wjjeeps.com/hvac_sub_assembly.htm) Motor failures for this HVAC sub assemblies is also something to look for although much less common.
My local dealership estimated $$$$$$$$$950.00 because they have to remove the entire dash so I looked around for something else.

I used something similar to this and now have heat that is controlled solely by the knob nearest the driver. It wasn't very difficult just kind of a tight squeeze.
Hope this helps

No hot air control

Probably broken blend doors if everything else is working, but its just blowing cold air. Do a google search for "Jeep Blend Doors" or "Heater treater" for more info.

The passenger side only blows cold air, but the drivers side works correctly, what could cause this?

If the heater outlet air temperature cannot be
adjusted with the temperature control knob(s) on the
A/C Heater control panel, the following could require
service:
- The A/C heater control.
-The blend door actuator(s).
-The wire harness circuits for the A/C heater control
or the blend door actuator(s).
-The blend door(s).
- Improper engine coolant temperature
