Jetta window had motor replace windows still will not go up or down

By having the motor replace does the on - board computer needs to be reset for the window to go up and down

Possible as some vehicles will not lock a car unless the windows are fully wound up. Use a code reader to reset The CPU and see if that makes a difference.

SOURCE: 2001 Jetta Window stuck down in door

the window clips let go of the window .... there is a recall for this and should be taken back to dealership to have upgraded clips installed on regulators on both sides

SOURCE: troubleshoot and repair power windows on a 2003 VW

VW was fixing this issue free a while ago, you should check with them. the glass pulls out of the window rail clamps.

No, the computer does not have to be reset. I would vheck the wiring in the door hinge area to see if they are broken. If so you will have to replace the harness.

I have a 2005 VW jetta and niether of the front windows will work. I tried resetting the system by holding the key to unlock but only the two rear windows went down. I'm not sure what else to try.

CHECK YOUR FUSES UNDER THE DASH ALSO IF U HAVE THE MANUAL CHECK FOR LOCATION OF WINDOW RELAYS THEY ARE USUALLY UNDER THE HOOD ON SIDE OF MOTOR SOMETIMES EACH WINDOW HAS SEPERATE RELAY REPLACE THEM BOTH///U CAN ALSO ONCE YOU FOUND THE RELAYS THERE SHOULD BE 4 OF THEM NEXT TO EACH OTHER!!!!U SAY BACK WINDOWS WORK?? TAKE ON OF THOSE RELAYS OUT AND POP IN THE FRONT RELAY SEE IF IT WORK..DO BOTH SIDES AND IF IT WORKS YOU NEED TO RELAYS????

How to reset my master power window switch on jetta 2010

switch ignition on, engine off. fully open window fully close window, lift and hold window close switch until window motor emits a clicking sound, repeat procedure for remaining windows,switch ignition off. sound like battery been replaced disconnected, if this procedure dont work let dealership check it out.could have blowed window switch fuse to that door.

put the key into the drivers door and unlock/hold over(the windows will go down)then lock/hold over.the windows will go up/sunroof closes)this should reset the system.if not then you will have to get the car on a diagnostic computer.

unlock car with key/hold key over for 30 secs...lock car with key/hold over for 30 secs,then press remote button to unlock and hold down for 30 secs.you have just reset the system.AND if your car has the comfort mode the windows will go down then up when you hold the key over so you reset the window rollback as well.

Hi i have a problem with 2 electrical windows i try already from all switches and they are not going down i don't know if is any fuse or the problem is the motors can you help me please this is a 98 jetta...

It's more then likely the motor on the windows if they're not going down at all. Now if they go down and back up again sometimes then it could just be that you need to replace the regulator. Either way, you can find good parts for your car at Rockauto.com that are inexpensive so you can avoid paying more then necessary at the auto shop.

Jetta 2006 Front driver window does not operate

has the window frozen to the frame?or can you hear motor trying to work?...if so defrost window... try this.put key in door and hold over to unlock,all windows will drop.if drivers window still not working could be motor burned out.
(auto drop/raise system not fitted to all vw cars)
