First you are not allowed to install an older engine into a newer car, the engine must meet the newer car emmisons control. Unless you live in a state that does not have emmison controls. as for starting it is fairly simple on fords you have the wire for the stater are the same and you have to power the ingtion coil. However you will have to change the fuel pump system If it has a electric fuel pump you will have to have the setup for the engine. But the best place to get this information is www.alldatadiy.com. you will be able to get just the engine diagrams for both and the fuel system diagrams as well. it will also cost you some time reading but is much faster than using books. If you need anymore answers on doing this let me know and I can give you more detalied information in swapping the engine out. Just be sure you don't have to smog it. you will have computer issues and other things to deal with but it is not impossible to do. Some things you may run into is the low octane gas won't burn very well in the 84.
