Interior lights come on and off.

@lkinne - Have you solved this problem - I have the same problem with my 2000 Mercury Sable. I don't believe that it's a door switch because it's not showing that a door is ajar. The interior lights come on and off, repeatedly and it's eventually killing the battery. It's as though you walked up to the vehicle and tried the door handle when it's locked. I mean, if you where to go up to the car when it's locked and try the door handle, then the outside door keypad lights and the interior lights will kick on for about a minute and then go out. Well this is exactly what is happening, except all by itself, and over and over again. Any ideas would be very much appreciated!
