I have the code but I don't know what buttons to push to enter the code and get it accepted.

Is there a button I should push after I enter the numbers?

I read somewhere "then push enter" but I don't have an "enter" button.

Volvo 850 radio unlock code

We just unlocked a 98 Volvo S-70 radio,on the front, you have 2 slots across from each other, use you finger nails or a dime to get it to come out, then you can pull it out, then get the serial number and write it down, then put stereo back in,then get your vin number,it's on your insurance card, then call dealer and ask for your radio code, they will ask for vin number and radio serial code,if your radio says code, then you can enter it,ifit says off, then it's locked, you have 3 tries till it locks and it says off,if it says off, then you turn key to number 1,turn radio on,wait 2 hours, then it will say code, then enter code and radio will unlock, our code is 5513 if you want to see if it will work for you. Here's a link to you owners manual, read about the radio code, same as our's,but the dealer will give it to you free. 1994 Volvo 850 Watch this video. Radio does not work if I push the power button it says. Off

Turn ignition key to number 1 position. Turn radio on, and wait for readout in radio display to say code. This could take several hours, so make sure the car is in a safe place. When code appears, key in correct code (if you don't have it, get it from a Volvo dealer, you will need the vin # and proof that you own the car).

How do I know if I have a CD player in my Volvo 850? There is a CD button but when I press the CD button it says "EEEE" my audio system is the SC-710. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Apparently you do not have a CD changer connected to your radio and that is why you get an error when you press the CD button. However sometimes it's an error code and means that you need to reenter the code for the radio. Is there a place to put in a CD? If so, here's a link to some info on your radio and entering your code.

Volvo Car Radio Lock

There is a 4 digit security code that needs to be entered into the radio. Look in your owners manual, it may be written in the book or there may be a card in the booklet that has the code. If you find it, enter it once, if it doesn't work, stop, because entering the wrong code will lock up the radio. You will need to go to the dealer to get the code if you cannot find it.

1993 Volvo GLT 850 Electrical things won't work

I'd be taking the dash apart looking for burnt wires in a harness, so you will likely have to take the outer cover off some of the bundles. Start tracing back from the plug in for the radio. Hope this helps.

Volvo radio doesn't accept its own code

With a good battery in the car turn the ignition key to Position I. Do not put the key in position II. Make sure "OFF" is displayed. Let the car sit with the key in position I for about two hours. "CODE" will appear in the display. Enter your code.

Need the radio code

well, I don't know, the dealer has all of that info, but if your lucky you can pull the old radio and maybe a previous owner or mechanic was thoughtful enough to write the code on top. Locate the two springloaded tabs on the left and right sides of the face, push them in gently with a knife or flat screwdriver and use them to pull the radio out. Good luck.
