Hi we have a 1999 5 door freelander and sunroof won,t open, how is the motor accessed? nothing happens when pressing button to open and have checked fuse/switch feels ok thanks pete
The motor is accessed after removing the interior roof light console. I have to warn you that Freelander sunroofs have a lot of problems. To change the motor, I think you will have to remove the roof lining as well with all that entails. The Land Rover Workshop manual has all the detail whereas the Haynes manual does not.
Try www.myfreelander.co.uk/Body/sunroof5door.htm for an exploded view of the sunroof.

the sun roof is stuck half open. Pushed the button for 20 sec. to reset and nothing happened. Checked the fuse and it is good. I do not here any noise when I press the open or close button. Is there a manual crank and how do I get to it?
sunroof won't open fuses are good
