it sounds like the duel mass flywheel has gone bad unless there is something fouling ie .exhaust so get the exhaust etc first cos a new flywheel/clutch is a EXPENSIVE JOB! GOOD LUCK
jaguar x-type 2ltr diesel 2004 the glow plug warning light flashing, was told dirty fuel on fault code all fuel changed and filters. No problems for 20 miles untill engine was put under power on high revs went into limp mode, warning light glow plug falshing again? any ideas thanks.
make sure you have proper sealing washers under injectors, and you have only one washer in place ,ihave seen it happen before 2 washers will cause a loud knock if not that get injectors calibrated good luck
the most common cause of that prob with xtype diesel is the hose going to the intercooler splits and leaks or the jubilee clip on the intercooler has corroded and broken allowing the hose to blow off not easy to get to to repair
Hello, the injection pump is not working well,it must be check.probably it is not giving enough pressure of fuel to the injectors, one thing more take the fuel filter out,see if there is no water in,if so this can make the injection pump not working well, this water come from the diesel tank
Sounds like release bearing or clutch fork pivot. Or could be clutch plate springs loose, but less likely. If it doesn't suddenly get worse, then it should be fine to drive. If you do get slipping, this needs immediate attention as you could score the flywheel.
