Today I drove the car at about 140 km / hour, itran smoothly and ok, when suddenly the Check Engine light which is on the odometer turned on, as well as the smaller engine light on the right side of the dash board display turned on. On slowing down, I noticed rough engine idling, like it was just running on 2 cylinders or without 2 spark plugs. Temperature light ok. Oil Temperature OK. Oil level OK. There were no other strange noises noticed. What could this problem be?

hi, if the collant level is ok and the car isnt over heating then check the heater works in the car and make sure it gives of heat when hot is selected if it dont then the chances are the thermostat has gone and needs replacing.
If on the other hand you have heat then the chances are its just a faulty temp sensot these are cheap to buy and easy to replace.
Let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok

If the engine management light is on you should get it plugged in to a diagnostic tool. Also check the wiring with an ohm meter .
