It sounds like you are still not getting the desired spark in the cylinder. A couple of other things to check are the plug wires and more importantly, check the gap on the new plugs. The gap listed for that year of MPV is 0.054 inches. You local auto parts store should have a gap tool, if you don't have one already. Even if they came pre-gapped, it would not hurt to check and make sure they are within that gap spec. There is also another suggestion to check the cam positioning sensor. If it is not sensing correct, the coil pack won't fire at the correct time.

If you are mechanically inclined make sure the number four wire is tight at both ends. at the spark plug end see if you can wiggle the plug, make sure it is tight and gapped properly.

misfires can be caused by plugs , HT leads and coil/s-- AND--- bad injectors, low fuel pressure. Pull the injector for no 1 and have it checked out.as t may be the injector or the wires and connections for that injector. Make sure that the HT leads are not touching each other as it may cause a misfire on the cylinder as well

have you isolated what cylinder is causing the misfire . You need to check the coils for proper spark at each plug. If you have spark then you will need to check each injector for proper fuel. you can do this by unplugging each injector one at a time to try to isolate which cylinder the missfire is on
or you can have your local parts store scan the car and tell you what code is stored . Most misfire with cause a service engine soon light to come on if the light is on then there is a code store .

either that or you didnt get the plugs gapped right or the wires on right check that and see what happens.

It sounds like you have a misfire. Anytime a misfire is detected by the powertrain control module (PCM) it flashes the check engine light (CEL) on and off. Do not drive it this way because it won't take long to damage the catalytic converter. Have the diagnostic trouble code (DTC) read with a scan tool or "code reader" to see what DTC or DTCs are set. If it's a 4 cylinder, it will have a P0301 set for a cylinder # 1 misfire, a P0302 for a cyl # 2 misfire & so on. If the misfire is random (ocurring in multiple cylinders intermittently) it will have a P0300 set. Once you know which cylinder is misfiring you can check that cyl to see what the cause might be. It could be an ignition coil or spark plug failure. The # 1 cyl is always the one closest to the front of the eng or this car, the one closest to the passenger side fender.
