Low beams (both sides) went out suddenly. Error message said 'Dipped bulb beam failure' or somesuch.
I changed the light bulbs and the driver's side came on (bulb looked bad). The passenger side bulb looked fine, but changed it anyway - NOTHING. Fuses look fine. Even checked that shunt/resistor thing under the dash that I've seen mentioned online. Pulled it out, looked fine, put it back - Nothing (neither lights worked with it out and the driver's side worked when I put it back, so I guess it's ok).
Any other suggestions for cheap fix before Volvo charges me a gazillion to fix it?
All i did i unpluged the batter for 5 min and pressed the brake pedual while the batttery was unhooked and when i plugged it back in it solved my problem it has been working all day fine
You need to check and see if there is power to the light that is out , because they work on the same circut , look for a bad wire ?
