Need to fix the sunroof of a 2000 Volvo S80 . It

Stuck in open position. Sounds like no motor running. Changed out fuses but still not work.

Hold the switch down for around 20 seconds and it reset the sun roof /in close position

Sunroof only opens in vent position. Never opens completly. Have replaced the switch. Used key to lock/unlock from outside the car, checked all fuses, disconnected battery for an hour and still cannot get it to work. This is intermittant. I could walk out there now and it might close. In that event I would NEVER touch it again. But, in the meantime what do you suggest?

Check the fuse. If that is good then try listening for the motor trying to operate. If you can hear the motor trying to operate then you must have a stuck sunroof.

Chech light on. Sunroof window does not open. What to do?
check engine(service) light is tied to odometer. there is a sequence to reset yourself using a combination of key clicks and odometer buttons. Sunroof needs a fuse or the switch is most likely bad.

Radio and Sunroof both stopped working at same time. Fuses in 3 locations all seem to be good.
Not positive it is the same thing, however, when setting up my iPOD adapter to the radio, I made the mistake of not following the instructions to the T, and it caused my sunroof to stop working... after a day (which I later found out gave the system enough time to "reset" and connect), I turned on my stereo, pushed the 3CH to Dolby Surround, and that did the trick. It's been about a year... and I've had no problems with the sunroof!
