1993 dodge durango V8 It wont turn over, it does nothing when you turn the key,we charged the battery and it is good lights go on and everything else works

Yes, it has to do with the ignition switch. but just as possible could be a battery connection from the battery to the switch. So, sometimes turning key to ON causes no dash lights or warning lights to come on?
That sounds like a bad switch, or more likely, a bad battery connection or a bad connection between the battery and the switch. First thing to do is check the charge of the battery, it must register at least 12 volts. 12.6 volts is the ideal for a good and fully charged battery. Clean and tighten all battery connections.

Sometimes when you have a poor connection, from looseness to corrosion, and you turn key and see all warning lights and gauges come on, and then turn key to start and everything goes black...that can happen because the power surge causes the bad connection to come apart. So check for loose or corroded connections.

Have you battery checked to make sure it is not dead. It can still have enough juice for the dome lights but not the turn over. Make sure to charge your battery fully before having it checked. If the battery checks out good then you should have the alternator checked. It is possible that it is on its last leg and not effectively charging your battery.

remove and clean your battery connectors. Check to make sure they are tight. Often the lights will work but there is too much resistance to operate starter. If this is good have the battery checked. It should measure 12.6 to 12.8 volts with a fully charged good battery with no load.

My 2001 dodge durango wont start the battery turns on and there is juice but when i turn the key it makes one click and then nothing. what could it be?

I have a 93 dodge dakota pick up. When I turn the key I get nothing, The radio and the lights work fine. I had starter checked and the battery changed, It will run if you push it to start but not with the key.

Could be a bad connection at battery, or started on its way out.

The problem is most likely the starter, but you should ensure that the battery is fully charged before proceeding. The battery doesn't need to be fully charged to run just about all the interior lights and the head lights, but attempting to crank the engine is a large current draw, and can drop voltage quickly on a partially discharged battery.

If the battery is fully charged, continue to checking the starter.

Sounds like there is a drain.. Check everything to be sure nothing is left on ie - int light etc..
