I tried several types of seal leak will not work. It seems to be coming down through the boot in my rackinpion cover.
What the seal leaks do is soften the rubber, not the best long term solution. Try taking a wrench, the correct size, and snug down all the fittings, not to tight. If it is coming from, as you described, down through the boot it could be a seal. Wipe down the unit well and watch as you have someone tune the wheel back and forth. The engine should be running to build up pressure, so be very careful not to get run over. Apply the emergency brake well and chock the tires.
You need to find what is leaking. Is it power steering fluid or radiator fluid? if it is poer steering fluid you probably have a cracked hose and the kit to cut out the bad section and rebing the tube with a plastic joiner is available at car parts places.
Powerwash the place in your engine compartment and do not drive the car but have it on and turn the wheel left to right and you should be able to find the leak and know where the hose needs to be repaired. If it is radiator fluid..find the hose and replace it.

I quess we have defiantely determined it is power steering fluid & the hoses are all snug & it is leaking into the boot so it most likely is a seal. Does anyone know how easy a job this is to replace or fix & what it entails?
Where is it leaking from exactly?
oil like liquid underneath driver side
