On my 2000 buick century the light that displays the odometer does not work. is there a fuse to fix the problem
Sadly no, there is no fuse or bulb to replace. You either have to send the instrument cluster out for repair or replace it with a new unit from the dealer. You could also obtain a serviceable one from a salvage yard. Most shops should be able to replace the instrument cluster or advise who can repair it.
Had same problem with my 1998 Buick Century (this should work for all newer Centurys). Replaced the blown resistors as perUtube video:BlownRegalLSX . I feel duty bound to spread the word. Hardest part was getting up the courage to remove the trim to get the cluster out. Followed the soldering instructions on the back of the 15watt soldering pencil that I bought at Radio Shack. Don't forget the flux.
I have the same problem on a 2000 buick century custom, how did you determine which resistors were bad and where were you able to get replacement ones? I stoped by a dealership the other day and they said it would be about $400 to repair, and that most of it was the labor in getting at the cluster.

The blown resistors are easy to locate (If they have not already fallen off). You can run your thumb over them and easily dislodge them. Again the Utube video shows the size to order at Radio Shack and how to cut, bend and solder them on. This is not rocket science but you have to work up your nerve (practice too). Save your $400 bucks for the replacement of your intake manifold gasket when in inevitably goes out.
