There's two connection points, one is a harness connector under the rear right of the car just forward of the rear tire, and the other is under the passenger side rear seat where the wiring harness goes through the floor pan to the underside. Check both of those connections for corrosion and loosening.
First, have you checked your fuel filter, a very common and unchecked problem, as for the wires, you will need a good service manual, your fuel gauge is through your body computer so you will need to know voltages and resistances. I am old school and try to stay away from computers
The connector with the gray wire and the black wire is for the pump-gray wire is power wire, black wire is ground. Check the gray wire for power, when the engine is cranking. If the gray wire has power then, and no pump, check the black wire for a good ground. If ground is good, the pump has to come back out for inspection- it is not turning on as it should.
If no power on the gray wire when engine is cranking, check fuse #22-a blue 15amp fuse for the fuel pump circuit. If fuse is good, you will need the wiring checked for the fuel pump relay, because it is not turning the pump on as it should. The computer sends a signal to the relay to turn it on and send power to the pump.

Is the security light on? If you have spark and fuel, it should run. Any codes? Could be bad crank sensor or cam sensor.

In the trunk behind the seat, pull back the carpet. there is an access panel in floor. take that off, and you have direct access to the pump assembly, disconect the three hoses and the pigtail, take off the lock ring and pull it strait up. you can only buy the whole assembly so its just swapping them out and putting everything back together.
