The sensor is between the springs under each seat. The seat belt itself is not the problem.

SOURCE: seat belt light staying on

There is a small clip with one wire on it at the base of the seat belt where it connects to the floor. It might be broken, or the switch inside the belt clip is faulty. If the wire is fine and connected the belt clip side needs replacing

T Belt light stays on how do I turn it off

If you meant seat belt light, are you driving with your seat belt or without? If with, inspect the wiring that goes into the bottom side of the seat belt receiver for pinched/damaged wires. If you are not using a seatbelt (not advising this, but your choice) you can get replacement buckles that will clip in just like your seatbelt does, our you could grab some off same model vehicle in a salvage yard.

2006 grand cherokee seat belt

Have the same problem in my 98 Toyota Rav4. I squirted the female buckle (bolted to seat, not holding strap harness) with wannabe WD-40 lubricant from the $1 store, and it seem to have solved the problem. I'm guessing the spring mechanism is worn out, which is why the harness buckle won't lock. Another solution is to replace the female lock buckle with an identical part from the used parts junkyard store.

The seatbelt light on the dash stays "on," even when everyone has their belt on, but I don't bother servicing that. If yours have an audible alarm instead of an indicator light on the dash, locate the source of the alarm sound and disconnect the wires to silence the sound.

2006 mitsubishi lancer, i put a book under drivers seat and it pulled srs plug apart. I snapped back together but light stayed on. Someone told me directions to reset. I needed battery anyway so I waited...

if your happy with the seat belt as it is and its operating fine, they can not force you to buy it from them. Just get the snapped plug replaced, even cheaper from a breaker, then ask for the light to be reset using there diagnostic equipment. All dealers, well most, will try for that extra buck.

Seatbelt alert goes off even when wearing the seatbelt

There is apparently a problem with the switch in the seat belt mechanism that is not doing it's job. You will brobably have to replace the entire seat belt to repair.

Airbag Light Stays on when hot outside, but not when cool outside

My experience with this issue, (and I have seen it before, several times), is a poor connection at either side front seat belt connectors. You should pull off the center trim panel, to expose the bottoms of the seatbelts, and plug/unplug/replug the connector 10-12 times; there is a known issue on poor connections on the seat belt wiring harnesses. Just replugging it works pretty good.

Hello, I am having the same problem, But the dealer told me that most often a water bottle goes under the seat and when people pull it out they unplug the airbag, you may want to look at this first. resetting the sensors would be next, I am looking for that next.

The SRS light stay on

SRS stands for supplemental restraint system. You have a problem with the airbag system. The seat belts have sensors to let air bag module know if they are buckled. Could be a bad buckle seat belt will work fine .This may be a common problem is why they said seatbelt problem
