My BMW E39 has the DSP amplifier and several speakers are not working. I read that these amplifiers are the same on the 5 series, 7 series and X5's. Each amp needs special coding, which can be set by dealer computer, to specify number of speakers and crossover settings. Is it possible that my amp just needs to be recoded (reset) to get the sound out from those speakers?

You might want to suspect a stereo amplifier. Does your car have DSP? In any case, look in the trunk on the left hand side. You will find your radio amplifier back there. It will have about a 3in connector with a bunch of twisted pair wiring. Remove the connector and make sure there is no water contamination. All sound processing takes place in the amp.

Remove arm(s), put wiper motor in park,(shut off) then re-install arm at base of windshield where they were before,when shut off.(in park position.)

YES, THE LOWER PRESSURE AC PORT IS AT THE PASSENGER SIDE OF THE CAR.
IF YOU OPEN THE HOOD YOU WILL SEE IT , BY THE WINDSHELD WIPPER TANK. ALSO THE LINE AS A BLUE DOT ON IT. AND A BLACK PLASTIC CAP.
THERE IS ALSO ONE BY THE RADIATOR BUT THAT IS THE HIGH ONE.
YOU WILL NEED THE LOWER ,PORT TO FILL UP THE AC UNIT.
ALSO STAY IN THE BLUE , NOT WHITE OR RED. READ INSTRUCTIONS ON CAN !!!
I USED THE ARCTIC FREEZE ULTRA SYNTHETIC 134 A REFRIGERANT. PEPBOY ALSO WALMART HAS IT.
I BOUGHT THE 134 CAN TO FILL UP THE AC UNIT , AT FIRST IT DIDNT FIT BUT THEN IT WORKED. I TRUNED ON THE CAR AND THE AIR ON HIGH.
NOW AM GETTING VERY COLD AIR.I ALSO CALLED THE DEALER AND THEY WANT $ 250 , TO DO SOMETHING THAT YOU CAN DO FOR UNDER $ 15 DOLLERS. THE DEALER DID TELL ME THAT THEY ALSO CHECK FOR LEAKS AND THEY ALSO EMPTY THE AC UNIT BEFOR THEY REFILL IT .
I HOPE THIS INFORMATION WILL HELP , WHEN USING THE 134 A CAN ! YES IT DOSE WORK AND IT WILL FIT .
