My acura rsx died last night while on the highway aand wont turn back on and the temp gauge went all the way down to cold what could this mean

Regarding the heating issue, sounds like your thermostat is stuck open so the coolant isn't heating up. (May need replacement) Does your engine temp guage show it running colder than normal?

If not then the code will only be available from your local Honda Dealer or a Decoding Service ...who will plug in a laptop to read/recode your memory chip (EEPROM)

Probably that means nothing, for now. Somtimes old cars play trick like that and if you don't feel or hear any problems than it's nothing at all. But if the light comes on again and then you better check the car in car service.
