I have a heater issue: my 2007 range rover sport has heat only on the passenger side. the driver's side blow luke warm to cool air. Front and rear vents same problem: drivers side is cool, passenger side is normal. please help! cost options best/worst case scenario?
When you operates the heater button worm water of your engine's water jackets enter to the evaporator locates inside your A/C blower & air flows through it & air becoming worm. Therefore I proposed you to check your vent linkages for vent doors inside the blower unit.

Check and replace the right side temp-controller.

Sounds like there is a crack in the vent that leads to the drivers side, and hot air from the engine is leaking through.

go to a parts store such as Advance Auto Parts or Auto Zone and buy the A/C recharging kit they have with the rubber line and connector that connects only on the side that you need to recharge your system. If you can put air in your tires you can out freon in your a/c system.

The problem is most likely a bad dual climate control valve. This component is located on the right side near the radiator under the hood. It will have several coolant hoses hooked to it and 2 silver cylinders protruding from it. You can clamp off the heater hoses at the heater core and see if both sides cool then and this will tell you that the valve is letting coolant thru when it shouldn't be.
This will narrow it down to either the valve or the control head inside the car,or wiring in between them. The only way to narrow it down further is if you have a scan tool that could access the climate control data. Have seen several of these valves cause this concern and have only seen one control head cause it.

My 1999 limited does this. When i bought it off the guy he said that its because of some flap down by the passengers left foot. In mine the passenger air barely even blows because of this.
