I have the error code 1120 that says the TPS sensor is giving out to high of a voltage. I replaced the sensor and it still says the same thing. I also failed my inspection for emissions.

Sounds like one of the sensors at the tires is not working right. Its actually better if the light stays on. With it turning on and off will make it harder for you to stop cause the computer does not know what to do. Check brake fulid level. If it stays on you will have normal brakes. Have the sensors checked or replaced. ABS was design for panic stops so you don't lock up the tires an skid.

The abs lighton my 2000 mercury mystique comes on and the brakes make loud noise

The noise you hear from the brakes? is it a scraping grinding noise? if so your metal to metal on one or more of your wheels and that can cause the ABS to mal-funtion. If the brakes are good then it sounds like the ABS module is failing. I wouldn't remove the fuse because other systems may be relying on that fuse to work. Find the ABS module and dis-connect it. To find out more information on your ABS system go to your local library.

1999 Alero stalling and trac off light coming on

does the rpm motor kick down? you may need to check your vacuum hoses, and also you may want to check your exaust, sounds wierd but that can cause the car to stall at times.as for the traction light, your hitting the brakes to hard. try slowing down a little slower while stopping, and keep distance for saftey.. if you can take it a little slower at lights and turns, without braking hard and it stops stalling.

Abs and traction control lights coming on

Its the abs sensor, if you encounter an ice patch or snow you won't even be able to stop because the pedal will will push back and make the rip grind noise. If you pull the ABS fuse out, you won't have ABS but you can stop and you won't have the grind noise and back pressure for now. Its safer to not have ABS when the sensor is faulty.
