There is a snapfit features on each side of the sensor which has to be pushed in for the sensor to come out. Applying some extra pull out force to the sensor will also do the job, however you risk breaking the tiny shaft on the sensor to the linkage. Check out the speed sensor assembly over internet beforehand if necessary.

I have a Nissan Serena 2003 model with CVT gearbox. It wount engage 1,2 when moving in low speed, or uphill.when behaving this way, its fails to reverse,or reverse in difficulty.

Have the codes read at Autozone. Check out the wiring to the speed sensor on the output shaft of the gearbox. Be prepared to change the speed sensor itself. Is the speedo functioning? Often when the speed sensor is faulty the speedo dial fails

My speedo has stopped working i had the speed sensor replaced it worked for just 1/2 mile n stopped, local garage said new gearbox does this sound right to u guys

If they mean the speedo gearbox, maybe. I think this works like older cars in which you have a gear on the transmission shaft which drives a gear on the speed sensor, and sometimes the gear on the transmission shaft can break the clip which locates it and it slips out of position. Many transmissions allow removal of back section to gain access to repair this. However, some newer cars have a speed sensor which uses an electromagnet to pick up signal from a internal magnet. Removing the speed sensor from the transmission (easy!) should help determine the cause of your problem.

As I'm Driving the speedometer die's and the car starts bunny hopping, especially when i accelerate. What is the solution for this problem please can anyone help?

i had a similar prob on a clio, fault was traced to water ingress in plug on speedo drive in gearbox (water came from drain tube under scuttle panel) dried it out, waterproofed it with wd40 and packed with grease, then cleaned out and re-rooted drain tube. problem solved!
