KIA SPECTRA 2003 ABS, BATTERY, BRAKE LIGHT IS ON ALTOGETHER WHILE ENGINE IS RUNNING. I DON'T KNOW WHY.

get urself a can of carb cleaner...brake cleaner...whatevers clever
with the car running spray it over vac maf sensor...until you hear the engine bog down. now you found ur vac leak or anything else and leaking.

All vehicles made since about 1988 have ABS (25 years ?)

You can see the abs pump & hcu unit, if you open the hood
& wires to the sensors at each wheel

replace the thermostat

It is either low on brake fluid or the parking brake is applied

Could be a wet or bad belt, belt tensioner or one of the other pulleys.

i had the same thing happen in my 89 mazda mx6 and it turned out i had to replace the spark plugs and battery and it worked fine, maybe this will help you out

You are most likely hearing metal on metal on the brake pads. The brakes are not attached to the gear shift in any way. Unless those Koreans have done some really wierd design.

1. Disconnect battery negative cable.
2. Drain engine coolant
3. Remove bolt and nut for thermostat housing
4. Remove the old thermostat
5. Put a new thermostat and gasket (Install thermostat into cylinder head with jiggle pin positioned up.)
6. Place thermostat housing
7. Fill radiator with engine coolant
8. Connect battery negative cable
9. Start engine and check for leaks.
