Opel Corsa B automatic transmission Fault

The ''S'' light on the dash board of my girllfriends Opel Corsa B [1996] keeps flashing as soon as you turn on the ignition.The mechanic said the automatic transmission gear box was spoilt, so ,we had it changed but ,still the light keeps flashing and you have to really accelerate for the car to move when in drive.It moves fine when it is in Reverse.When i put the diagnostic machine on the car,it gave me this reading:
''Unhandled KW82 CRC ERROR'' Can someone please tell me what this means and how i can solve this problem. I could not find this car in the options below so i intentionally chose the geo prizm but, the car i have a problem with is an opel corsa b 1996 model.

Have you replace the transmission fuse it on the cigar lighter circuit?

The problem is the selector switch, it's a common faillure with this switch. By tear and tear the internal metal pieces of the switch doesn't make contact as they should be. The big problem is that a replacement cost as much as the value of the whole car so find a used one ( very hard to find ! )

Remove and strip down the selector switch - clean it out with a good degreaser and contact cleaner - refit and put ign on - move gear lever up and down through the range. turn ign off for 1 min. start car and go for a drive - should be fine

If the s light is flashing it is usualy due to loss of power to the gearbox ecu check all connections to ecu and gearbox are clean and tight as a power failer will stop any diagnostic being performed and will tell you there are no problems

sounds like its stuck in second gear. you have an electrical issue and need to track down a wiring diagram and find your short. this is telling you the shift solenoids are constantly engaged and not allowing to shift. it would be my guess that when the transmission was installed a wire was pinched. inspect the housing where it mates to the engine and make sure there is nothing pinched. i actually have experience with these from being in iraq. good luck.
