Hi: The problem is caused by a bad blower speed resistor. It is mounted under the dash, passenger side near the blower motor, directly in the air box. It has an electrical connector on it, and the part is usually less than $25

SOURCE: can't locate the cooling fan sensor or relay.

the radiator fan relay is located behind and slightly lower than the r/f headlamp.best way to get to this is by removing right side of front fascia out enough to get behind it. this will give you acsess to the relay.i work at a jeep dealer and have done this many times.

SOURCE: fan cooling problem. which and where is the relay or fuse for the cooling fan? I need a diagram showing me what the relays are for and what they operate.

I have the original owners manual, and it says that there is a fuse (No 16) and a relay (No 10) for the blower motor. I've same troubleshooting right now. If you wants send me a email to [email protected] to send you a scan imagen of the fuses diagrams.

I have a 2006 saturn vue, the car cuts off due to it over heating there is antifreeze in the car. the radiator fan is not moving and the a.c. only blows on low

Radiator fan needs testing. If you jump battery voltage to it does it run? If no, bad fan motor. If yes, could be fuse, relay, or more likely bad fan thermostat.

Fans run constantly sensor relay

On the front drivers side under the hood. The module is clipped on a bracket in front of the battery. Check the connections they do corrode.

2000 chrysler grand voyager fan wont turn off

its a stuck sensor or relay ,, fans will run with the car off until the desired heat and or cooling is completed . check the under hood fuse block for a relay for the fan, see if you have another one that's the same, and switch them out,, if it stops and works ok,, replace the bad relay

I have a 2000 Chevy Prizm and the air conditioning fan only works in the highest position. My guess is that one of the relays is bad. If that's correct, which relay is bad?

Sounds like a bad blower motor resistor. Since high speed bypasses the resistor and the lower speeds use the resistor and don't work, the resistor is the most logical answer. It is usually mounted near the blower motor under the passenger side of the dash.

Replaced the thermast and relay switchfan running but car still running hot at 255 260 degress what to do???

I would do a compression check on the engine. Also pull the radiator cap , (after the car is cool) and see if the coolant is moving smoothly when you get it back up to operating temp . Leaking head gaskets can cause engine to over heat, so can bad water pump, plugged radiator core, and so on.

My saturn over heats only when i have the ac off

Check for a fuse that is blown first. Then look for a cooling fan relay.Check the relay to see if it will turn on the fan,by using a test light.Clip the end on the test light to a good ground, maybe the ground on the battery. While the car is running, pull the fan relay out just a little so you can touch the prongs on the relay with the test light pointed end. When you touch the right prong, the fan will come on.The test light is actually grounding the relay. This is the safe way to activate the relay without damaging the relay circuit. If the relay clicks, and the fan comes on,replace the coolant sensor. If the fan does not come on,and the relay clicks, then run a hot wire to the positive wire on the fan to see if it will work.If you don`t get the fan to run that way,and you are sure the fan is hooked up correctly, then replace the cooling fan.If you cannot get the relay to click, and the fan is good(because you have checked it)replace the relay. If I can help, let me know.

Does both fans need to run with a/c on if so what sensor controls the cooling fan its only comes on when engine heats up then cuts off when it cools the engine gets hot the a/c starts cutting off till it...

Yes both fans need to run while the A/C is running, this is because the A/C compressor puts a good amount of added load on the motor and heat is generated when the refrigerant is compressed. There should be a A/C fan relay under the hood in the secondary fuse/relay box,it has probably gone bad,if you have a shucks/kragen or autozone in your area they will test the relay for you.

Fan not turning off

check the relay switch for the cooling fans . they should be under the hood in the power supply box , sounds like the relay is sticking .
