Sounds like a wheel bearing that is going bad? Does it change with engine speed or vehicle speed?

  • Anonymous May 06, 2009

I know they have problems with the cooling fans on those, and they can make allot of noise. What happens is the fan clutch gets stuck engaged and revs with the engine. Hope that helps?

1999 Isuzu rodeo no acceleration power no check engin light won't go over thirty mph motor runs hot the more acceleration the louder the whinning noise now radiator busted what caused this

Whining could be the water pump. That would cause over heating and to much pressure which blew out an old radiator. An over heated engine will not have power. But it also could be the engine is worn out and has no compression in the cylinders. Do a compression test first, before throwing money at it.

My Kia k2700 is making whinning noise

Hi, need more information. What are you doing when it whines, i.e. does it whin at rest with the engine running, is it whining in certain gears only. Does the whine appear to be coming from the engine bay or elsewhere.Does sound like it is coming from one of the wheels. Does whine increase as you accelerate. please supply more detail.
Also, is it diesel or petrol? Please add more detail and resubmit

There is a whining noise coming from my automatic transmission on my bmw330ci. the faster i go the louder it seems to be.

No it will not -now all BMWs are rear wheel drive so a whinning noise i would assume to be a diff so ask a local mechanic to check it out for you to have a proper idea what the problem is

Front end whinning noise

USualy it is one or both of the front wheel bearings that have gone bad, while yo have the vehicle on a jack stand with the engine off and making sure that the wheels are set straight, hold the tire on top and bottom and try to move it if there is any movement felt you have bad wheel bearings.
